Corona COVID-19 Update- School Closure

Following the most recent advice from the Department for Education, this centre is now closed to students until further notice.

Letter from Steve Howell about reopening Centres.

Provison is currently made for children of key workers, for vulnerable children and for those with EHC Plans, at the Kings Centre in Erdington. Breakfast (8.30-8.50) and lunch will be provided, the day finishing at 2pm. If your child fits into one of these categories, you should already have been contacted. Primary-aged children have a similar programme at the Marywood Centre.

Welcome to Grove Centre. We opened in Balsall Heath in September 2018. We offer a safe and engaging secondary school environment for our young people to thrive and achieve. We believe that children have the right to the best education in a nurturing and motivational environment. We cater solely for Key Stage 4 pupils and our curriculum is aimed at those who have the ability and motivation to succeed at GCSE. Our staff team has a wealth of knowledge and skills and all our pupils take English, Maths and either Combined Science (current Y10) or Biology (current Y11) GCSEs. There is also a range of option subjects including RE, PE, English Literature, Health and Social Care and ICT. Pupils have a careers interview and support for the next stages of their education. We have high expectations for all and believe in offering our pupils the best chance to achieve success now and post 16.

Term dates and our Uniform policy are under the ‘Parents/Carers’ menu at the top of the page.

Pupils may bring a PE kit to change into on their PE day (Monday for Purple and Green, Friday for Amber and those from Green who have chosen the sport option).
