City of Birmingham School is Birmingham City Council’s Pupil Referral Unit.
Welcome to City of Birmingham School, where staff care deeply about pupils and believe in giving them every chance to succeed. We have the highest aspirations and ambitions for our pupils and each and every one matters, every minute of every day.
Across our 7 specialist teaching campuses we offer a broad curriculum, focussed on a variety of rich experiences that pupils may well have not had the opportunity to access in their mainstream settings; outdoor education, residential trips, theatre visits and much more complement our focus on academic outcomes in English, Maths, Science and a range of other subjects.
One of our main areas of focus is to ensure that pupils are able to transition to the next stage of their education successfully; for younger pupils we aim for this to be a mainstream school, but wherever our pupils go they can be assured that we will give them the support they require to make it a success.
